New Year's Goals...

At first I wasn't really gonna make any "new year's resolutions" and then I realized I had some things on my mind that I want to change or grow in. Some are small or kinda silly and some are more serious. So, since it's that time of year...I'll call them "New Year's Goals." Here they are:

- make my bed daily
- put away my clothes when take them off
- don't put clothes in the laundry inside out (wow mom don't you wish I was at home?)
- do my hw on the night it's assigned (I don't usually procrastinate, but I wanna make sure to stay extra on top of things!)
- eat all my food at Aramark (our dining hall) even if it's gross...and so that means not getting too much, especially if it's gross!
- follow my budget
- complain less
- get to bed at good times (no later than 11:30...but that's pushing it...)
- desserts only on special occasions (such as birthday's or tasty Tuesday...which is tonight!!) and weekends (starting Friday nights...)
- judge others less (or not at all!)
-do a devo daily...and a weekly devo with Jase
- memorize a verse weekly with Jase...and pray daily with him...
- be more patient
- communicate maturely

Yep...that's about it...there's some other small character things...but...ya...

Some Pictures Too...

Catching Up...

I haven't posted in a while because I've just been home and busy enjoying my loved ones! I'm writing this now from my desk back at Corban though...I've got basketball practice tomorrow and classes start Tuesday! This semester I'm taking Baptist Heritage, College Writing II (research paper! ug!), Intro to PE/Sport, Anatomy and Physiology, New Testament Bible Survey, and American Thought and Culture II.

For Christmas my family and Jason and my grandparents and my uncle's family spent 5 days at a beach house in Pacific City, OR. That was WONDERFUL! We spent our time laughing, jumping off sand dunes, watching movies, playing Quelf, and just enjoying each other! And I got to hold Jason's hand too! (thanks Dad!)

Then back in Missoula I worked and we just did more of the same! Adding in some basketball games (The Lady Eagles are 6-1!! I'm so proud of them!) It was very wonderful to spend time with my family and Jason and Monz and Hannnah and Lauren and Meaghan and everyone!

Jose has started calling Heidi and I "sis" or "sissy," and it's so precious when she sleepily says, "I wuv you sissy" when you're kissing her goodnight! I'll miss them lots!

My Mom and Heidi and Josie and Nate got here last night!

Josie kept hugging me and asking me to hold her! She would say, "Whoen [Lauren], I wost [lost] you, but now i found you." It was so precious! And she slept in my bed with me and kept waking me up cause she'd be rubbing my face or arms.

Ok...

...so I've posted a lot today...but what else am I supposed to do when there is nothing to do? After our 9am-12pm practice this morning, we showered and then we (Katerina, Sarah, Kate, and I) went to the Lancaster Mall...took pictures in a photo booth...smelled stuff at Bath & Body Works...then went to WalMart to get groceries...then we (Katerina, Kate, and I) made dinner (a pre-cooked chicken from the deli, brown rice, carrots, and garlic/cheese bread)...hung our snowflakes...watched Lucky Seven and then the Notebook...and since we were all homesick and the movies were sad we cuddled on the bed and cried...and Kate was right when she said that we're pathetic...and then Kate and I played ping-pong...and drank egg nogg...and ate Teddy Grahms and the rest of the chicken...yep! And now we're going to bed! And when we wake up, it'll be another day closer to our loved ones!!

What I've Been Learning...con't...and final one

Jeremiah 32:39-41

"And I will give them one heart and one purpose: to worship me forever, for their own good and for the good of all their descendants. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them. I will put a desire in their hearts to worship me, and they will never leave me. I will find joy in doing good for them..."

Roommates:
Kate and now also Katerina (aka: Sunshine) are the best roommates! Praise God! I am blessed! (side note, both of them have changed their hair since this picture =)

Facebook:

Facebook may seem necessary to survive life, but I am better off without it! I promise you, you don't need it!!

Winco:
GREAT for buying bulk candy!! Sour apple rings = $1.86 per pound! Also, when you need a study booster, they sell bulk chocolate covered coffee beans at a great price!!
