These are the few members of our track team that made it to Charlo today! Everyone else was gone! It's fun running in Charlo, cause it's a dirt track and it's surrounded by gorgeous mountains, especially the Mission Mountains behind us!

It's Finally Hitting Me

As I listened to the Trace Atkins song "You're Gonna Miss This" today, and as I scroll through the pictures on my blog, or feel Josie run up, put her arms around me, bury her head in my side and say, "I love you Lauren," I want to grow up less and less. I realize how much my life will change in August, as I move to Salem OR and leave behind 18 years of my life. Sure, my loved ones will always be in my heart and the memories are burned in my head. And I can come back to visit anytime. But, I will be there, and they will be here. It's no longer just walking up the stairs or a five minute drive. Its 13 or more hours. Its at these times when I have to remember to trust God, and His incredibly amazing plans.

"Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, of everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life."
Philippians 4:6-7 (the Message)

Corban College - - my future "home"

The Corban College gym. Coach Williams calls it the "Warrior Palace" because the campus is on a hill and the gym is at the very top of the hill.
In the latest U.S.News & World Report rankings, Corban is ranked 6th in the west. For the seventh year in row Corban was ranked as a top ten Best Baccalaureate college in the west--the only Christian College in the Northwest to be ranked in the top ten.

See how gorgeous the campus is! (above & below)

So...you might be able to guess by the pictures above, but I finally made my college decision...I feel like God is calling me Corban College in Salem Oregon and a bachelor's degree in exercise science. Corban is about 900 students on a beautiful secluded campus about 8 miles outside of Salem. They have offered me athletic scholarships for running and basketball, and I'm going to attempt to do three sports! (Yes...I am crazy!)

These are pictures from senior honor night...
it was a crazy beautifuly amazing night =) =)
(there are a ton more pictures floating around on Meaghan and Monz's cameras)
Thanks so much to Kylie Barnes for doing my hair!!!!!
The first picture is from the conference center that my mom took of me and Jason
(I love it =))
And the rest are from my house while we waited for the bus to pick us up.
We were at three houses, the girls at mine and Olivia's and the guys at Grayson's
(but somehow Harry ended up at mine...lol...).
Then my dad picked us up in the charter bus and took us to the conference center.
We decorated the bus all up and had chocolate dipped strawberries and sparkling cider too!
Much thanks to the juniors for such a special event!
It was incredible!!
After, the bus took us disco bowling, and then we all went up to Monz's in our cars.
The guys got home around 3:30am
and Meaghan and I stayed the night at Monz's...
we were up till 4:15! And then I had a track meet by 9am!!
Speaking of the track meet...it was HUGE and HOT!
I was put in the fast flights for my events...
like for the mile there were 28 girls (!!!!) in my flight...
and I got like 3rd last...but also a PR of 6:04. So ya...
My 800m was about the same way...
and our 4x100 relay got a PR but didn't score or anything.
It was another beautiful day =) =) thanks God! =)

This is My Favorite Story =)

So this is my new favorite Josie story... Today, riding home from church, Josie was just being kinda stubborn and all.

I asked her "hey Josie, how was church?"

and she replied "I wanna make eggs." When I asked her again she replied the same way.

So my dad was like, "Josie, you need to answer Lauren's question, and then you can talk about eggs."

Her response to that was "I don't wanna answer the question, I wanna talk about eggs!!" She kept up her stubborn attitude,

and so my mom was like, "Josie, do you want a spanking?"

And Josie thoughtfully replied, "Uh...no thanks...I'd like chips actually." Even my mom couldn't help but laugh =)
